Calla Lily Flower Did Not Open

Question

I was given a calla lily from a friend and the flower looked as though it was about to bloom. That was 6 wks. ago and the bud is still very tightly closed, what should I do? Any assistance would be appreciated.

As for the bud not opening fully, it likely needs more water. Increase your watering. You can also add some phosphorus, such as bone meal, to the soil.
