Q.Calla Lillies

Zone Lewiston , Idaho 83501 | bouncer5031 added on October 6, 2017 | Answered

White Calla Lillies have been blooming for many, many years here in Lewiston, Idaho. Planted on north side of house. This year there was leaves but no blossoms. Could it be that they need to be divided or some kind of fertilizer used on them next Spring? Very tall, about 3-4 feet high, beautiful white lilies….but this year, only leaves. Would appreciate very much any helpful info. Eleanor

There are a few common reason why they refuse to bloom. The most likely is that there is too much nitrogen in the soil, or not enough potassium and phosphorus. There are several other reasons discussed in this article: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/bulbs/calla-lily/make-calla-lily-bloom.htm
