Butternut squash time from set to harvest

Question

I want to determine when to trim vine tips to encourage ripening of developing squash but don’t know how long it takes a newly formed butternut to ripen. What is the time frame. Seed packets only contain information re: planting to harvest but the squash pop up at different times.

Gardeners in cooler zones may trim the tips of the vines after fruit has set to encourage ripening. In warmer zones, letting the vines grow long yields more fruit. Here is more about when to pick the fruit:
