Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comSo we have 3 butternut plants growing on our balcony in large fabric pots. It is early summer in India and they get abt 8 hrs of sun per day. We have female flowers growing and opening nicely but the males are small and not opening. Help

Excessive heat can cause this. See if you can provide some shade with a shade cloth. These articles should help:
