Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWe planted 2 butterfly bushes last year and cut them back in the fall. This year they were so tall and overgrown for the spot we chose, so we dug them up yesterday and transplanted them. We’ve watered them 3 times yesterday, and 3 times today, but the leaves look very droopy. Will they perk up or did we possibly do something wrong and they are dying? Thank you for any information.

While they need plenty of water, you are in danger of over watering by doing so three time a day. Back off just a little and allow the plants to re-adjust to their new surroundings. It is also common for them to look a bit ragged when newly planted. Also, just to make sure that nothing is restricting the roots from taking in water, tamp down around the plants to collapse any air pockets that may be present.
