Q.Butterfly Bush
Why would a butterfly bush all of a sudden start growing small leaves in groups, no flowers. I planted 2 identical after I had for several years . Same size hole and every thing. ??? Other one doing great.

There are hundreds of cultivars of this plant and many related species. Perhaps you have two different varieties. Another possibility could be related to pruning. Here's an article that will help you get this one to start blooming:
