Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI bought a buttercup bush (Senna corymbosa) and found out after looking online that its not hardy in zone 5. Will it be ok over the winter with adequate protection? I live south of Buffalo, NY. Thanks.

It is somewhat frost and freeze tolerant, so perhaps a fair amount of mulch over winter and covering during the most extreme conditions will help provide the plant with adequate winter protection. Also, if it’s placed in a sunny but sheltered location from any wind, this would help.
