Q.Bush

Hi, I live in a climate 10A zone. I am looking for best options of growing bush or shrubs in the front of my home (in front of windows). I am looking for 3 foot height growth (or so). My challenges: The front of my home faces directly north and is mostly shaded. I have tried Copper and Hawaiian Ti plants. Neither seem to take, and by the end of summer the leafs just fall off. Although I opened up the area (trimming 3 trees),there just not a lot of sun. Again, trying to “case” my windows with a shrub and it would be great if I could add a successful bush with color. As you can guess the Indian Hawtorns work well as do Blue Lilly Turf, but again, everything in front of my home is a solid green. Wish to keep this a low maintenance area. Any help or direction would be great. Thank you, RA Venice FL
