Q.Bti pesticides

Zone Charlotte, NC | tommymarx added on January 9, 2017 | Answered

Where can I find Bti (bacillus thuringiensis israelensis)? I repotted three of my houseplants, and the potting soil was heavily infested with gnats. I’ve tried Gnat Stix (in one of my plants, I laid two on the soil and within little more than a day, they were covered with dead gnats). I’ve tried apple cider vinegar with a few drops of dish detergent. I’ve tried waiting longer between watering, but a couple of my plants react immediately when they need water. Please help me. I need to know where to find Bti pesticide.

Many gardening stores carry this product. Calling around in your local area might turn some up. It looks like some brands are available for ordering online as well.

What gardening store? What sites online? I was searching, but I'm not having much luck (mainly I think because Bti is too generic a search phrase). Any suggestions? And thanks for the reply! :-)
