Brunfelsia shrub

The leaves have started to turn a little orange. It gets plenty of morning sun. It is in a pot and probably ready to go into a bigger pot. I have not fertilized and what is best fertilizers to use? Do u think there is something else causing the leaves to turn orange.

Morning sun and afternoon shade is good.
Water to a depth of 6 to 8 inches after planting, and keep the plant moist during the growing season, never allowing it to dry out completely. Water whenever the top 1 to 2 inches of soil next to the plant dries. Stop watering during the winter months, during which the plant will receive all the moisture it needs.
Fertilize in early spring before new growth appears with 4 tablespoons of a granular 10-10-10 fertilizer per 10 square feet, scattering it around the shrub and watering it into the ground. This will the give the plant a boost for early spring growth.
I do believe your soil may not be acidic enough. The plant needs moist, rich and well-drained soil. Plants respond well to having their roots weaving their way though compost. It prefers an acid pH which is just below neutral 7. Mulch with moss, pine needles or acidic compost on its base.

You can also use iron sulphate mixed in water to water the plant.
