Brown Spots on Basil Leaves

Goose added on December 11, 2015 | Answered

Have some basil seedlings and some of them are developing leaves mottled with black/brown specs. Any ideas? Basil is being grown outdoors in New Zealand.

I believe this to be the Downy Mildew pathogen on your young seedlings.
Your young seedlings can be infected by having infected seeds.

You will need to destroy the plants.
