Q.Brown Marks On Tomatoes

I grew them from a purchased super market tomato. Have produced masses of tomatoes. But many developing brown superficial spots and splodges. Are they safe to eat?

It may be insect feeding. You can cut off the blemishes and if the inside is unaffected, it should be safe to eat. This info may help:
