Brown leaves on jade, can’t find picture anywhere on Internet like my problem.

Question

My dad planted this when I was born and gave to me 5 years ago before he died. So I can’t kill it so please help. It is getting brown leaves, why and what to do. See pics. Thanks Tim

I believe this article addresses your concerns. It advises repotting the plant in sandy soil and monitoring the moisture it receives. If you can find an area that doesn't have spots, you can take a cutting and grow a new plant, just in case you lose the first one. I've included information on propagating jade plants, too.
