Q.Brown Leaves on Tomato Plants

Anonymous added on July 13, 2011 | Answered

I have two tomato plants, both with brown leaves on the bottom of the plant. I have them in three foot cages. They are both six foot tall. The soil is Miracle Gro and I water once a day for fifteen minutes every other day. The rest of the plant is growing like crazy! What do I do?

If the rest of the plant looks healthy, then it may just be a natural shedding on the plant due to light having trouble getting to the base because of the leaves above. As long as it looks healthy otherwise and is producing well, I would not worry about the brown leaves.
