Q.Broccoli Developing Heads Too Soon
I planted broccoli plants (about 8-10″ high) one week ago. The weather has been cool (40-60) where I live in PA. However, the plants are beginning to get broccoli heads already. The plants have not grown much, but the heads are slighly smaller than a dime. What should I do?

It is not so much the air temperature but rather the soil temperature that causes broccoli to bolt too early. Try adding mulch around the base of the plants. This article will help as well:
