Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI try and grow brassicas in my sandy soil and fail miserably every year despite liming and adding plenty of manure, etc. I also firm the soil well but they still grow really poorly and I don’t get anything decent. Should I just give up or do you have any tips that could help?

The trick with those is keeping their roots cool. Try mulching your brassica plants. This will help keep their roots cool, which helps to improve their performance.
