Q.Bougainvillea Is Wilting – Help!
I have had this potted bougainvillea for over ten years. I live in northern Virginia. About two years ago, I started using a wicking system (shoelace placed in soil – other end in water) and it finally started thriving. (I am not a green thumb). About a week ago, it started wilting and now appears to be dying VERY quickly. I repotted it, thinking the soil was depleted, I replaced the wick, I watered the soil independently, since the wicking did not seem to be working. None of these have helped and in fact, it looks like by tomorrow it may be dead. HELP!!

It may be getting too much water. Let the soil start to dry before watering again. Your replanting in fresh soil will probably help. Have you added any fertilizer in the past few months. It also may have reached its life expectancy. And there are wilting diseases that take hold rapidly.
