Q.Bougainvillea has no blooms

Zone 77494 | reggieut@aol.com added on July 8, 2019 | Answered

My (2) Bougainvillea in-ground plants (3-4′ tall) appear to be very healthy, but they have never bloomed. I feed them Bougain every (4) weeks per the directions on the bag.
I don’t notice any disease.
What do you think is the reason for not blooming?

Thanks !

In researching an answer I learned that bougainvillea bloom best when slightly under-watered. Here are some other reasons for poor blooming: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/bougainvillea/bougainvillea-not-blooming.htm
