How do you espalier a bottlebrush shrub onto a wooden fence?

My research brought several sources referring to Bottlebrush trees being an appropriate specimen to Espalier against a fence or trellis, but I was not able to find any specifics in the method to use. And I did not locate any images of an espaliered Bottlebrush tree.
