Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a four year old bottle brush that has been well flowering each year (about 5′) but this Feb in the UK we had temperatures fall as low as – 10’c. It has happily survived previous winters as it is in a sunny spot, but the leaves are normally greening up by now. Nothing else has changed (well drained container and good soil which it has thrived in until this cold snap) Most plants and trees are seeing delayed budding due to the cold, shall I wait it out and hope for the best? The bottom of the trunk is still showing green tissue but just the brown leaves are unwilling to resurrect. Thank you!

Yes, give it more time. Don’t prune anything until you have active growth; then you can trim away any dead plant material.
