Bok Choy Yellow Flower

This year is our first year for planting a winter garden. We planted Bok Choy – it is really taking off. There is a yellow flower that keeps growing and growing in the center of the vegetable. Do we cut it? Does that mean it is going to seed or leave it alone because that is part of the plant?

Unfortunately, it means that the plant has bolted and is probably not very tasty anymore. Bok Choy and other crops like it need to be harvested before they bolt.
