Blueberry Plants

Should you plant two different “types/varieties” together, or will two of the same plant grow well? Are there certain requirements to keep the leaves from “fading out”?

Some varieties of blueberries do benefit from cross pollinating with other varieties. They tend to produce bigger and more plentiful harvests when cross pollinated.

I am not sure what you mean by fading out, but good air flow around and in the plants (due to good pruning) and watering low to the ground will help stop any fungus from attacking the leaves. Many fungus can make it seem like the leaves just slowly wither away, which is what it sounds like you are describing.
