blue oat grass

Question

We are looking for a non invasive ornamental grass. Does blue oat grass expand by tubers or seeds? We are in North Idaho in zone 6. Thank you.

Blue Oat grass does not spread by rhizomes or stolons. New plants will pop up, but can be easily removed.
