Wisteria Blossoms, How Many Years
Certified GKH Gardening Expert
These are fast growing vines, so it shouldn't take too long depending on the type of plant used (i.e. cutting, seedling, larger potted plant). Anyhow, it is difficult to say for certain how long it will take to cover the pergola fully but at least within the first two years or so with good care. Blooms, again, depend on the planting used but once flowering occurs in mid-spring, should last a few weeks. Phosphorus rich fertilizer or bone meal added to the soil around your plant will help with blooming.
