Q.blooming bush

Zone 63368 | rcakmon added on May 19, 2016 | Answered

Is this an azalea or rhododendron? It bloomed well the first year after we bought this house and the last two years not as well. Trying to find out what it is and why it’s not blooming. Thank you!

The blooms look more like Azaleas than Rhododendron, and the leaves look right for Azaleas as well, but the bloom in your photo isn't a perfect match for Azalea, so it's hard to tell. You might want to take several photos and consult your local Extension office in order to get a positive ID (https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/info/what-is-extension-service.htm).

Provided the plant is one of the two in question, this article will give you some tips on why the plant is not flowering, and the other articles may help you as well:
