Bleeding hearts

Because of our warm winter and early spring, my bleeding hearts are up and growing. It’s supposed to drop to 17 degrees later this week. Is there anything that I can do to protect them against the freezing temperatures?

You can certainly cover the plant for the brief periods of cold.

My garden has also been suffering from large temperature fluctuations, keeping an eye out on the tender plants and buds, and covering is the best we can do!
