care of Bleeding Heart

My Bleeding Heart plant has brown stalks/leaves and looks like it is dying out. There is new growth, but wondering if I can just cut down the brown stalks/leaves? I just purchased this place and never have had a Bleeding Heart plant. It sure can be lovely!! I would appreciate any help and suggestions that you can give me. Thank you so much for your time.

If it’s newly planted, then it could be transplant shock (which normally rights itself) or in need of more water. You can remove any brown/dying growth. Also make sure the plant is receiving adequate water with good drainage.
