Blackberry Suckers

Question

There seems to be suckers coming up from my blackberries and the mother plant is suffering. Do blackberries have suckers like roses? Do I cut them?

Cut those off. They are most likely suckers from the root stock and will have inferior fruit. This article will explain more:
