Blackberry Bush

Question

I have an area where I did plant a blackberry bush (so I am told) but it looks like Lantana with yellow orange flowers. Do blackberry bushes grow flowers first? Then make berries?

While they do bloom prior to producing berries, blackberry plants normally have white flowers, not orange. Perhaps, if you could send a picture, we would be better able to identify the plant you have and provide more help.
