Q.blackberries will not get ripe

Anonymous added on July 30, 2015 | Answered

My blackberry bushes are full of red berries. However, they are not getting ripe. They have been on the bushes for several weeks and there is no sign of any ripening. The berries look healthy and are the same size they have been all the other years I have had the bushes. The weather this year has not been much different than in years gone by. Can you tell me what the problem might be and what I can do to correct it?

This is likely caused by the Redberry Mite.
Here is a link about this infestation.
