Q.black walnut trees

Zone 61270 | Anonymous added on March 14, 2017 | Answered

My horse chewed the bark off a big and old BW tree. Since the bark isn’t smooth or green inside like other types of trees, is it really damaged? The tree seems to be fine.

Most bark damage will heal on it's own.
