Holly, after a hard winter, had the leaves turned brown and fell off. Some of the stems are black. What do I do?

Cut off the blackened branches, and give it lots of TLC. Recovery from a hard winter can sometimes take a couple of years. Here's some information on holly pruning: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/holly/trimming-holly-bushes-how-to-prune-holly-bushes.htm
