Black spots on leaves

I bought a dwarf fig tree. I replanted it into a larger pot with better drainage. Now, one of the leaves has developed black spots. I keep the tree indoors since it’s so small, about 10 in. high. What’s causing the spots?

There are a number of common disease that can infect fig trees. Read about them here: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/figs/common-fig-tree-diseases.htm [1]
In addition to theses, there are a host of bacteria and fungi which float around in the environment and can cause black spots on leaves. Remove and dispose of any leaves that have spots of any color on them, to prevent the possible spread of pathogens. Don’t worry too much unless the spots start turning up on several leaves. Then you can take a leaf sample to the Extension Service for analysis and treatment recommendation.
