Black eye peas

Never grown black eye peas before. How do I know when to pick them?

You can begin harvesting snap beans as soon as the pods are at least 3 – 4 inches long. Be careful pulling the pods from the vine. It’s easy to take part of the vine with them.

For shelling beans, harvest when the pods are full and you can see the beans protruding in the pods.

Leave the pods on the vines to dry completely brow, for dry beans.
