Black Areas on Lemons and Oranges

I have a Meyer Lemon tree and a Valencia orange tree in my yard. The fruit from BOTH trees have black spotted areas that seem to affect almost all of the fruit. I want to correct this problem so the fruit looks much better when I eat it.

It sounds like your fruit is affected by citrus black spot, a fungal disease, that is actually common in citrus fruits. It can normally be controlled with fungicides. Here is more information: http://www.crec.ifas.ufl.edu/extension/black_spot/citrus_black_spot.shtml [1]
