Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comHello! I bought this birds of paradise two months ago and live in Los Angeles. My plants get morning/early afternoon sun (7am – 2pm). As you can see, this one is not doing so well. Already had to cut off three dead leaves and purchased a soil moister meter to monitor watering. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

This appears to be a pH related issue. Apply a few handfuls of dolomitic lime to the soil, and apply a little wettable sulfur as well to further condition your soil.
The soil should remain slightly moist, with short periods of dry in between. You do not want to let them get over-dry, or watered too much.
