Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy bird’s nest fern (sitting on the front veranda) snapped off in the wind we had last night. I’m wondering if the base of the plant will regrow, as it has 1 layer of leaves, and also if I put the top of the plant (the part that broke off) into another pot will that regrow? I have put it in one today, covering the lowest layer of leaves with potting mix. Please help me out, as it was a gift and that person is no longer with us.

I’m sorry your Birds Nest Fern was damaged. Sadly the top that was broken off will not root unless it would have a part of the center crown, or heart attached.
The base of the plant should be able to recover with leaves still intact.
If there are open wounds, treat with a fungicide.
