Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy Bird-of-Paradise, which is well established and over 20 feet tall, was hit with a hard freeze this past month. Living in Florida, this hasn’t happened to me before, and I’m not sure how to trim it back. Most of the long tall leaves are totally brown and dead. The center
‘fan’ part looks fine. How should I prune this back?

I am sorry to hear about your plant. This year’s weather has been hard on plants. Wait until spring and only prune back leaves that are brown. Leave anything green intact.
