Bird of Paradise Plant

I have a bird of paradise plant (indoor plant) and would like to know if it’s possible to split it so I can give it to a friend. Although there is no “trunk,” it does appear that it has three main stems at the dirt level. Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You can divide your plant, but keep in mind that Bird Of Paradise prefer to be root bound and dividing will delay flowering.
When you do divide and repot do not use to large of a container for the divisions.
Here are some articles to help you.
