big bluegrass spreading

Our 3-year-old big bluestem clumps (4 of them) are spreading invasively and threatening our 3 clumps of Karl Forester grasses. How do we:

1) reduce the size of the 4 clumps of bluestem so as to be able keep them in our 3-year-old grass garden?
2) control the spread of the bluestem clumps once we get them into a smaller, manageable size?

We really like the bluestems, but they’re invading and overshadowing everything else in our grass garden. Our neighbor gave us the bluestems 3 years ago fully grown from her own land. Thank you.

Bluestem is know to become invasive in some zones.
You will need to manually remove it in order to control it.

Herbicides can be used but it may kill more than you want it to.
