insects eating kale leaves

Question

Best way to stop insects from eating Kale leaves. We have a great crop but some leaves are far more eaten than what is left. I’ve caught numerous leaf hoppers and a couple of grubs, but more is eaten daily. Two plants had scores of baby eggs, mainly in hollows underneath. I wonder if liquid fertilizer may help.
