When is the best time of year to plant tomatoes and pepper plants?

This really depends on whether you are growing them from seeds (in which case you would be starting them about 6 weeks prior to the last frost in spring for your area) or young plants (which would be planted in spring once temps reach and remain a consistent 50 degrees F. or more).
