Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comTwo years ago I planted some blackberry plants by my strawberry plants. My blackberry plants have not fruited yet. Someone told me that is because you can’t plant strawberries and blackberries next to each other. I have not been able to find any information showing that they can’t be planted near one another. Therefore, I am asking for help. Can these two types of berries be planted near one another? If they can be, how long does it take for blackberry plants to start producing fruit? If not, how far apart do they need to be?

These two plants should not be grown together, as they are prone to the same pests and diseases.
