Bell pepper leaves are shrivelled and black. Why?

This can happen for many reasons, such as weed killer overspray (carried by the wind usually), over watering and improper acclimation when planted. This can also happen if you used a homemade mixture with soap in it that had bleach. When making homemade mixture, make sure that the soap you are using is not labeled as “anti-bacterial” as these contain bleach as their anti-bacterial component. Bleach kills plants.

Black leaves mean that they are dead and the plants will need to be replaced.
