Q.Bell Pepper Problems

Zone 6 | gcrawford added on September 14, 2011 | Answered

The last two years my bell pepper plants have grown very large and healthy but the peppers have been very small. I am growing the Big Bertha variety. The only fertilizer I have used is 12-12-12. I live in central Indiana. Can you help me? Gary

You may need to have your soil tested. Perhaps, it is simply lacking the right type of nutrients. Here is an article that you may find helpful: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/pepper/pepper-fertilizer.htm
