Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have tried growing beet root in flower troughs, but the leaves became very discolored (the vegetable itself was, however, very tasty). I am now growing a second crop, but the leaves are again looking horrible (in a new trough). Any hints?

It sounds like chlorosis, which is an iron deficiency, either caused by too little iron or too little nitrogen (which prevents iron uptake). Here is more information on that problem and how to fix it: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/environmental/leaf-chlorosis-and-iron.htm [1]
