Q.beetles

Anonymous added on June 3, 2015 | Answered

I have noticed a beetle that looks like a lightning bug but it flies fast and moves around the stalk of my crape myrtles and my Japanese maples. It appears to be sucking the sap from the stalks. What do I do? Pesticides, preferably organic, and none harming or traps? Thank you for your time, it is much appreciated.

You could try neem oil, which is both an effective pesticide and safe to use. Here is more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/problems/pests/neem-oil-uses.htm
