Bougainvillea Flower Drop Off

Its in a huge pit outdoors. It was gorgeous and full of flowers. Now all the flowers have fallen. How much should i water. People say keep mostly dry. How much is too much water. Very sad to see it lose all its flowers. I live in Florida. Thank you for your help

The colorful bracts come and go in cycles. They should return. Till you get used to watering it, try feeling the soil and water when the top 2 inches feel dry. Here is more:
