Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI planted my beard-tongue in a pot with Jerusalem Sage a couple of weeks ago. It’s been dry where we live (Central Texas) so I’ve watered it every 2-3 days to get the roots established. The lower leaves are turning brown. Am I over watering? Do I cut those off, do I trim the spent flowers? As well as the Jerusalem Sage – do I trim the spent flowers? Thank you!

Check the soil, is should be evenly moist. Do not let the roots dry out or sit in soggy soil.
Make sure the container has drainage.
In temperatures over 85 degrees F you may need to water twice a day.
Yes, deadheading the spent flowers will help encourage more flowering.
