Basil herbs

Can I put plant fertiliser sticks in my basil herb pot and if so when can I . I’ve just put new cuttings of about 5-7 cm in a new pot and it sits on my window sill …plz help

Basil should not need fertiliser. I grow mine from seed, germinates very quickly and easily, probably 5 separate sowings from one packet, sown every three weeks or so in a shallow 6″ pot.
